Dr. Machar’s arrest is a recipe for war which will lead the young nation, South Sudan to a crossroad of relapse without repair.
Salva Kiir Mayardit uses volunability of Dr, Machar as a stength to silence Dr. Machar and his community, little he knows that his plan will hunt him down in days and months to come.
Without Dr. Machar’s love of peace and stability of South Sudan and its people, Salva Kiir Mayardit would have faced the consequence of December 2013 Nuer masacre that he engineered under the guise of coup d’état.
But, with Dr. Machar being the champion of peace and magnanimous to save the lives of the innocent South Sudanese, he convinced the Nuer Community to accept peace, and thus went to Juba without even a single bodyguard.
Dr. Machar made the Nuer Community lethargic to do revenge after December 2013 because of his love for peace, a move that upset and seen as a weakness by many Nuer sons and daughters.
Had it not Dr. Machar’s love of peace, Juba and South Sudan at large would not be stable in the last 12 years.
South Sudan is a country of 64 tribes where diversity and inclusion could be enjoyed by anyone, but Salva Kiir Mayardit is not seeing it as a good sign for the country – he is busy dividing South Sudanese tribes into tribal lines under the pretext of reckless politics, causing unbearable suffering to innocent people who do not even know what politics really means.
If Salva Kiir Mayardit and his associates want South Sudan to be stable, they should embrace peace and leave Dr. Machar alone, otherwise suffering of South Sudanese will be unavoidable and it will go down under Salva Kiir Mayardit’s name as a bad credit.
