The chief administrator also added that, this area has blossomed into a thriving hub for cultivating a diverse range of fruits and vegetables, including oranges, bananas, mangoes, watermelons and pineapples.
The strategic selection of crops reflects a commitment to agricultural diversity. High demand fruits like oranges and bananas are cultivated alongside climate friendly options such as Mangoes and watermelons, while peppers add further variety to meet local culinary preferences and market trends.
According to the local residents, local farmers are adopting modern farming techniques to boost
productivity and sustainability.
Efficient irrigation systems, organic farming methods, and integrated pest management strategies are being implemented, allowing for increased yields while promoting environmental stewardship.
Bonga Kebele is set to become a model for successful farming practices in the Gambella Region and beyond.
